In february of 2021, Ronnie’s House worked with the City of Long Beach’s Economic Development Department to host an Economic Recovery Roundtable for the Beauty Industry. The roundtable facilitated a meeting between 25 beauty businesses, diverse in race, to discuss their needs for economic recovery.

The Roundtable’s needs were passed on to the City Council in the form of economic recovery recommendations to support the beauty industry. The City has approved a 5 million dollar recovery package for the personal care industry, which includes the beauty industry and gyms. Ronnie’s House is dedicated to advocating for the beauty industry, which employs a high number of women and minority communities who faced high inequity prior to Covid-19.
